2026-05-15

On May 13, the three-day 2026 Xiamen International Intelligent Transportation Industry Expo officially kicked off. Centered on the theme "Focusing on Industrial Innovation and Transformation, Empowering the Development of Overseas Ecosystems," the expo brought together professional business visitors from more than 30 countries and regions, along with over 200 leading enterprises, universities, and research institutions. It stands as a high-profile, international annual event covering the entire intelligent transportation ecosystem in China.

During the exhibition, the China Intelligent Transportation Association hosted a series of "Innovation-Driven" seminars, bringing together top industry players to explore emerging opportunities. As a pioneer in commercial vehicle intelligence, Golden Dragon Bus was invited to deliver a special report. Focusing on cutting-edge topics such as vehicle-road coordination, large-scale deployment of autonomous driving, digital twins for transportation, AI-enabled mobility, and overseas expansion of intelligent transportation systems, the company engaged in in-depth exchanges with industry experts and guests, sharing its practical achievements and technical expertise in commercial vehicle intelligence, autonomous driving commercial operations.

Autonomous driving is a key direction for the future of the automotive industry and transportation. Amid the global wave of intelligent transportation technology upgrades, Golden Dragon Bus has long maintained a leading position in the industry. As early as 2008, the company took a forward-looking approach to intelligent technology R&D and took the lead in launching connected vehicle products, achieving a shift from technical research to real-world application. Starting in 2015, Golden Dragon partnered with prestigious universities including Tsinghua University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Beijing Institute of Technology, and Xiamen University to jointly develop autonomous commercial vehicles.

In 2016, China's first 6-meter autonomous micro-transit bus prototype was successfully developed, setting an industry precedent. In 2018, its new mass-produced autonomous driving model "ASTAR" hit the market and became an industry phenomenon. That same year, the company undertook a national key special project on new energy vehicles for autonomous driving integration and demonstration, entering a phase of rapid growth in autonomous driving. Today, Golden Dragon is one of the few complete-vehicle manufacturers in China with a full R&D team and mass-production solutions for autonomous driving. Its latest autonomous driving model, "SMART" launched to mark the company's 30th anniversary, has won widespread market recognition, marking a new leap forward in Golden Dragon's intelligent technologies.

Golden Dragon's autonomous buses have been commercially deployed in multiple pilot cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, and Chengdu. With over 500 units delivered, they serve diverse scenarios such as metro connections, campus and industrial park commuting, and scenic spot sightseeing, covering a total operating mileage of over 10 million kilometers—fully validating the reliability and scenario adaptability of the technology.

For years, Golden Dragon Bus has deepened its presence in the intelligent transportation sector by mastering core technologies and developing benchmark models while actively expanding into overseas markets. Its participation in this expo not only demonstrates its strong technical capabilities but also reflects its commitment to collaborating with industry partners to shape a new global landscape for smart transportation.
